Overview of Adding Classes

Creating a class in the A+LS system is like labeling a manila file folder. It is a way to organize a group of student and teacher records. The class record itself contains class name, grade level, and school. It also stores the class assignment lists.

Hint - For those of you who previously used A+LS 2.x this is a significant change, because it means that you can delete a class without deleting any student data. A+LS 2.x stored all student progress information in the class record, but A+LS 3.x (through both Java and HTML clients) stores all student data in the student's own record, independent of any class assignments.
